"Picture This" Contest - Score Sheet

the Inland Empire Chapter #63 of Romance Writers of America®

Picture entering the scene from your manuscript that best describes your book. If that scene wins our contest you receive the prize of $100.00. Second and third place winners will receive a certificate.

Two published authors will select the best three entries whi will be sent to an editor who will select the winner.

All entries will receive at least two score sheets. The contest is limited to the first 75 entries.

Contest Rules:


Round One: To qualify for round two, an entry must be in the top 10% of all scores.

Scores/Range:
5 = Ready to Submit
4 = Could be submitted with minor revisions
3 = Not quite ready for submission, revisions needed
2 = Many revisions needed before submission
1 = Rough draft level of writing

1. First Protagonist: Does the character description paint a vivid picture in your mind? (Mannerisms, dialogue, movements, emotions?)
